First Congregational United Church Of Christ is a Just Peace Church, because Christ calls us to encourage justice and peace for all creation. Christ calls us to stand with the powerless and the oppressed, encouraging justice and peace for all creation. Our faith teaches us that we are to breath peace and cultivate joy in ourselves and in relationship with each other and all creation. Lasting wholeness in the world is not ours to achieve alone, but it is God's purpose for all creation.  We seek to share in God's work through acts of kindness and grace.

Each Sunday in worship, we light a candle of peace as we pray for God's peace to fill our hearts and lives, our congregation and community. We carry God's peace out into the world that it might grow and flourish, multiply and divide, filling the earth.
